Since Nov 15 2010 I cannot use the ICQ gateway anymore. It always reports the following:
"Undefined condition.
The error condition is not one of those defined by the other conditions in this list.
------
Invalid screen name or password specified. Please re-register with a valid screen name and password."
The first part comes from Psi, the last one from ICQ, I guess.
The same issue happens when I connect directly to ICQ with Pidgin 2.7.3 (ICQ account in Pidgin, not the ICQ gateway with a XMPP account), but it DOES work with Pidgin 2.7.5. Login information is definitely correct as I've checked with Pidgin (no change in configuration between the 2.7.3 and 2.7.5 installation).
Looks like a protocol change.
The former Openfire Gateway Plugin had the same issue before I gave Kraken a try today.
Same issue with Openfire 3.6.5.
Openfire 3.7.0 beta1, Debian Linux 64bit, JRE 1.6.0, Kraken 1.1.3 beta 2
Interesting! I'll make the update in Kraken's trunk for next release. Gonna post a news alert on the Kraken site.
yes switching to login.icq.com resolves my problem too. thank you
Fixed in trunk! I've added a database update to set the connect host to login.icq.com for those folk who have tweaked the settings and therefore 'saved' the bad setting. =)
There are reports that this is still an issue. Something to look at:

Things are looking good now.
