Probably also related to Smack 4 update (as it wasn't able to login to Openfire with SSL just after the Smack 4 update and then it was modified to login). I'm able to register new account on Openfire 4.0.2 server with Spark 2.7.7, but not with the latest build having Smack 4.
Merged. Not sure if this is related to my setup (using on a localhost), but most of the time after pressing "Create account" button the button is still shown as active and it shows continuously "Registering with wroot, please wait..". As soon as i hit the button again, an account is created. Sometimes it works fine on the first try.
I was running mine on the same machine as well. odd. are you running it all on windows or linux? I ran mine all on windows.
Windows. Openfire 4.0.2. I thought maybe it was Substance skin as i was getting this error (below) while running the newest build. With JTattoo i was able to register an account on every try. But then i switched to Substance again and this time it worked fine also.. puzzled :/

Some strange visual quirk with the skin i guess. Sometimes the button doesn't go into inactive state and nothing happens. Can mark it as solved. Not a first issue with Substance.
it looks like substance is pretty old, but there was a fork called insubstantial. It looks to be at 7.3.
