I don't believe this issue exists on 4.0.3 anymore, we can reopen if it does!

I bet this relates to OF-829's ghost users with Pidgin.

I agree with @Rui Simoes, i have the same behaviour, all of my users belongs at least to two groups (ALL_USERS and their Own Group ) , i can see user connected on ALL_USERS but disconnected in ther groups ( byt the way , as ALL_USERS is before any of the other groups , users always appears disconnected ) .

I think I found something:

(13:15:54) jabber: jabber_roster_parse(): Adding rbrava01@10.3.0.2 to groups: Lojas JPLR (Ilhas)

-----------------------------------------------------------------
User rbrava01 is included in two groups

In the begin everything goes ok but at some point something happen.

Group "Lojas JPLR" continues ok but "Lojas JPLR (Ilhas)" goes to offline mode.

The same user is online in one goup and offline in other.

I'm not an expert but I think the problem is in this part of log.
